About Us
There's a Chair Waiting for You!
Westman Jams is an unregistered non-profit organization
founded in 2003 by Reg Jones who wanted to create an opportunity for fellow
musicians in the Western Manitoba area to meet and have fun with their
favourite hobby - "to keep our music [old time country, bluegrass, oldies]
alive and well and living in the Westman area". Over the years, the jams have attracted
musicians of all ages and levels, who perform songs from all genres (even some
original songs too).
Come watch or join in the jam! Grab your guitar, fiddle,
mandolin or whichever instrument you play and make music from 2 to 5 pm once a
month (no jam in July & August). The event is free and open to everyone to play
and sing, watch or dance. Accepting donations to raise money for the Reg Jones
Memorial Bursary that financially assists Westman students attend International
Music Camp at the International Peace Gardens.
