Reg Jones Memorial Bursary

A bursary was established in 2007 as the Westman Jams Scholarship, spearheaded by Reg Jones who wanted to create opportunities that he and many of fiends didn't have - the opportunity to attend the International Music Camp.  The scholarship was renamed the Reg Jones Memorial Scholarship in 2013 following the passing of our beloved Reg.  In 2025, the scholarship was renamed the Reg Jones Memorial Bursary to align with the kind of financial assistance the award offers.

Since 2023, Westman Jams has donated over $44,000 USD to the International Music Camp for the Bursary, which provided financial assistance for more than 150 recipients.  

The application process for the Bursary is arms-length from Westman Jams.  The IMC Manitoba Board of Directors strikes a scholarship selection committee on an annual basis to review the applications and select the recipient(s) who best meet the criteria.
